Happy Mother’s Day weekend Mamas!!! I’m so excited to shine the spotlight on Seyi Omosehin, the Mama behind Luxe Balloons Houston. Seyi and her husband are a dynamic duo who spread so much cheer all across this area for those special events. Seyi’s personality is so warm, welcoming and her energy is all around incredible. After spending time talking to her – you will feel like you just spent time catching up with a good old friend. Seyi always had a passion for event decorating and she decided to take things to the next level and launch her company after her daughter’s 5th birthday. I LOVE supporting locally owned businesses that help give Moms the gift of time – this incredible company does just that and more! I can tell you from personal experience that I’ve attempted those balloon kits from amazon…let’s just say that they take hours to put together and I’ve learned my lesson on how they can quickly become a pinterest fail especially during a windy day. Which is why I’m so glad Moms like Seyi and her company exist, this weekend I decided to turn things over to the pros to make my son’s event special. Seyi and her husband swept right in, quickly set up an INCREDIBLE balloon kit and backdrop….they sure give Moms the gift of time and Seyi sure is a pro with the beautiful work from her services. Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I am from Nigeria and I relocated to the US about 14years ago. I have lived in California, Wyoming and now settled in Texas. My family and I have lived in the Houston area for 4 years.
How many children do you have and what are their ages?
We are blessed with 1 girl, Tiwa. She is 8 going on 15 :), the best girl, really.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I am an introvert. I work in an industry that requires me to communicate with new people constantly and it’s one of the hardest parts of my job but I do it flawlessly and most people never believe that it doesn’t come that easy to me.
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
Yes. I will like to thank few people actually; I am surrounded by great community of women that help and pick me up when I need it the most

My friend, Ugo, the best support system anyone can ask who’s really my daughter’s second mom,who has adopted my family as hers.
My Friend, Alexis, who is also raising 3 beautiful girls and that reassures me that “that crazy situation” with my daughter is truly very ok and normal.

Favorite things to do with your kids around town?
We enjoy exploring new parks and trails and riding around on our bikes and trying to decide which is our favorite(we can’t decide?), Kid’s museums, Zoo and Aquariums.
Favorite local things to do in the Cypress area?
Kidtastic Park, my daughter loves it there.

I currently own and run an event decorating business, Luxe Balloons Houston, that services Houston and all surrounding zip codes, where we create elegant decorations for all lives’ celebrations.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
I am grateful every day for all the celebrations and joyful moments we have been able to be part of through our balloon decorations. We have connected with so many families and small businesses alike over the past 3 years. I have been able to grow our client base mostly through word of mouth and our community around us supporting our small business. We look forward to growing more connections.
